Seniors Week Morning Tea & Music at the Wetlands

The Hunter Wetlands Centre is hosting a memorable Seniors Week celebration surrounded by nature!

For three delightful mornings, the lower deck will transform into a scenic seniors' cafe with morning tea, live music and a view across the wonderful wetlands.

The Hunter Wetlands Centre is thoughtfully designed with seniors in mind and features graded, wheel-accessible paths and trails, accessible toilets, lift access between lower and upper levels and ample bus and mini-bus parking with convenient drop-off and pick-up zones. Guided buggy rides for mobility-challenged guests are also available subject to availability and pre-booking.

The Hunter Wetlands Centre, located at Shortland in the heart of Newcastle, is a beautiful nature space thriving with native flora and fauna. Once a disused rugby field, it has been lovingly rehabilitated back to its wetlands origins and is today a Ramsar-listed wetlands of international importance. The Hunter Wetlands Centre is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run and community-owned organisation with all profits going back into maintaining and conserving the wetlands.
