List your Business or Event

The Visit Newcastle website leverages information from the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (also known as Get Connected).

ATDW is a national database of tourism, hospitality and event listings and it is FREE to create a listing.

Being listed on ATDW means that your business will be seen on many sites including australia.com, sydney.com. visitnewcastle.com.au and the Newcastle City App.

ATDW also automatically integrates with Google Maps and Google Business listings. This means you just need to keep your ATDW listing up to date to have accurate listings on all of the sites above.

How to create an ATDW listing

Tips for creating an effective ATDW listing:

1. Use high quality, engaging images. We suggest uploading 2-3 images, one of which could be your logo.

2. Fill as many data fields as you can. This includes opening hours, wifi details, entry fees and on-site facilities.

3. Include a detailed business description. Tell customers what you do - what do you sell? What is the style of your hotel rooms? The atmosphere of your bar? The signature dish of your restaurant?

4. Update your listing. While you are only required to update your listing annually to maintain a live status, we suggest checking and updating your listing every 6 months to make sure your business details remain accurate.

Also known as Get Connected, the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is a national platform for events, tourism and hospitality business listings.

In NSW it is free to list on ATDW.

The business listings are distributed to major websites such as visitnsw.com.au and Australia.com.au. More locally, City of Newcastle is also a distributor of ATDW data, meaning the visitnewcastle.com.au site and the Newcastle City App are populated with ATDW data.

ATDW is also used by the travel and media industry including for media and journalism, online travel agents and retailers and travel wholesalers.
