76th Australian Jazz Convention
The Australian Jazz Convention (AJC) was established in 1946 to create an opportunity for Australian Jazz musicians and fans to gather and celebrate their music. For more than 65 years the AJC moved across Australia enabling musicians and delegates to gather in different communities.
Newcastle is proud to welcome the 76th AJC on Boxing Day 2022 after the disruption created by Covid-19. The 76th AJC will transform Newcastle into the centre of Australian Jazz for one fantastic week.
The 76th AJC will present premium Australian jazz in the Newcastle Town Hall and across venues in the centre of the city. With the support of the Newcastle Jazz Club, the 76th AJC promises several special events that will welcome seasoned conventioneers and those new to our celebration of jazz of all styles.
