Day 1
Hire a car from Sydney or take the inner-city rail and travel 2 hrs to Newcastle.
Embark on a tour of the city either:

Check into accommodation and enjoy a night on the Newcastle town.

Day 2
Take a morning stroll along the beach and grab a coffee and light breakfast from Estabar.
Once refreshed, get picked up from accommodation by Daves Tours and join a wine tour of the Hunter Valley before being returned to Newcastle.

Take a morning 90 min surf lesson with Newcastle Surfest Surf School and then grab lunch at Newcastle foreshore.
