Newcastle Walking Tours

They offer a simple, historical and culturally sensitive walking tour of Newcastle NSW.

They cover the early history and heritage of this magnificent harbour city. They talk about the first inhabitants of Muloobinba and the development of the early penal settlement that became known as Newcastle.

They start the walk near the old train station, bordering foreshore park, and continue around the eastern peninsular taking in The Customs House, Nobbys Beach and Fort Scratchley.

They then walk around the quaint terrace housing of the East End, imagining the way of life for those working families in the Victorian era. They visit Main Beach and walk up into the city near Watt and Hunter Streets taking in some of the earliest houses and key buildings of Newcastle’s rich colonial history.

They pepper the tour with anecdotes and historical facts that link back to the colony’s formative days. The walking tour is styled to each groups particular interests and the pace of the walk is gentle but will cover as much ground as suits the whole group.

They are flexible in the delivery of they tour. Their main objective is to make the walk enjoyable, entertaining and informative.
