Gert: a woman, a place, a story - Newcastle Fringe
In 1924 in Tasmania, a boy holds a gun, black cockatoo perched on the barrel. A young woman stands beside him, cockatoo dangling from each hand. Who is she?
Through spoken word, music and projections, Jacqui Malins transports you into Gert's world of river, rainforest, mines, sawmills, music and family.
Be mesmerised by a time-bending multimedia experience, where one woman and her remarkable environment are brought to life through the voice of a river.
